Honoring Our Local Educators, One Game at a Time

Mazda of Spartanburg is excited to announce a meaningful collaboration with the Hub City Spartanburgers to launch the “Teacher of the Game” program at Fifth Third Park. As the official sponsor for half of the team’s 2025 home games, Mazda of Spartanburg will shine a spotlight on exceptional educators from Spartanburg and the Upstate, celebrating their efforts both on and off the field.

Through this partnership, Mazda of Spartanburg will honor one outstanding teacher at each selected home game, presenting them with a customized jersey and special on-field recognition.

“Mazda of Spartanburg is thrilled to be partnering with the Spartanburgers to sponsor the ‘Teacher of the Game,’” said Rodney Back of Hudson Automotive. “Teachers inspire, guide and shape the future every day and we are excited to celebrate and spotlight a few of these educators. Thank you to all the incredible teachers and the impact they have on our students and community.”

Teacher Appreciation Day Set for August 3

In addition, Mazda of Spartanburg will co-host a Teacher Appreciation Day on Sunday, August 3, when the Spartanburgers face the Asheville Tourists. Working with all seven Spartanburg County school districts, the program offers both in- stadium celebration and deeper engagement with students and staff.

Through this partnership, we at Mazda of Spartanburg hope to continue honoring the individuals shaping Spartanburg’s future and bettering our community every step of the way!

Mazda Brake Service Near Greenville & Spartanburg: Signs You Shouldn’t Ignore

Your brakes are the most important safety system for your vehicle. If you hear unusual noises as you ease to a stop, then it may be a time for brake service near Greenville, where our highly trained experts can inspect and repair your brakes. Discover what signs to look out for before you schedule your next appointment at Mazda of Spartanburg. more Key Points Squealing, grinding, vibrating, or a spongy brake pedal are all warning signs that your brakes need immediate attention. A vehicle pulling to one side or an illuminated brake warning light are additional red flags that warrant a prompt professional inspection. Certified technicians at Mazda of Spartanburg use genuine Mazda parts to diagnose and repair brake issues accurately Squealing or Squeaking One of the earliest and most common warning signs is a high-pitched squealing sound when you apply the brakes. Most brake pads are built with a small metal wear indicator that begins to squeal once the pad material wears thin, essentially acting as an audible alarm. If you hear squeaking consistently, don't ignore it. That sound is your brake pads telling you it’s time for a replacement. Grinding or Growling If squealing has graduated into a deep grinding or metal-on-metal growling sound, things have progressed further. At this stage, your brake pads are likely completely worn through, and the metal caliper is grinding directly against your brake rotor. Not only is this dangerous, but it can cause significant rotor damage, turning what would have been a straightforward pad replacement into a much more costly repair. If you hear grinding, schedule a brake repair in Spartanburg for your Mazda. Vibrating or Pulsating Brake Pedal A brake pedal that vibrates, pulsates, or feels like it's shuddering under your foot is a sign of warped rotors. Rotors can warp from excessive heat, heavy or repeated braking, or simply age and wear. When a rotor isn't perfectly flat and smooth, your brake pads can't grip it evenly, resulting in that telltale shaking sensation. You may also feel this vibration through the steering wheel during hard braking. Mention this sign when you book Mazda service near Greenville. Soft, Spongy, or Sinking Pedal Your brake pedal should feel firm and responsive. If it feels soft, spongy, or sinks closer to the floor than usual before engaging, that's a red flag. This can indicate air in the brake lines, low brake fluid, or a more serious issue like a failing master cylinder. Any of these scenarios compromise your braking power and require prompt professional attention. Pulling to One Side If your vehicle drifts or pulls to the left or right when you brake, it may be a sign of uneven brake wear, a stuck caliper, or a brake fluid issue. Not only does this make your car harder to control, it puts extra stress on other components like your tires and suspension. Once you drop your Mazda off in our service lane, ask about our service financing options to make repairs easy on your budget. Your Brake Warning Light Comes On Never dismiss an illuminated brake warning light on your dashboard. It could signal low brake fluid, worn pads, or a problem with your anti-lock braking system. When that light turns on, it's time to get your brakes inspected right away at our Mazda service center in the Upstate.
